We specialise in all varieties of New Zealand made Gouda including traditionally aged Vintage, Maasdam and Leyden, which we age and care for ourselves. Our goudas are produced by award winning Dutch cheesemakers Meyer Gouda, Karikaas, Mahoe, Mercer and Barry's Bay Cheese.

We also stock quality boutique cheeses sourced from all over New Zealand including an extensive selection of sheep and goats cheeses, blue cheeses, soft and fresh cheeses, mozzarellas, fetas and Italian parmesans.

We also offer an excellent range of Whitestone, Evansdale, Talbot Forest, Over the Moon Dairy, Meadowcroft Farm and Blue River Goats cheeses.

To accompany your cheeseboard we have a selection of gourmet deli products such as balsamic figs, Zesti cheese wafers, Euro Deli salamis, as well as Robbie's own range of gourmet preserves, which are to die for…

Christmas Hampers 2013

Christmas hampers and cheese orders will be dispatched during the weeks of 8–10 December and 15–17 December this year. Local Nelson/Blenheim orders only 22–24 December. Please bear in mind that the earlier delivery is more reliable.

Perishable hampers need to be addressed to an address where there will be someone to take delivery, i.e. a business or work address. Please ensure your recipient is aware that a perishable hamper is arriving!

Delivery to rural addresses is often unreliable and is therefore not encouraged during warmer weather.

If you wish to discuss your requirements or place an order by telephone, please telephone Robynne on 0064 3 540 3034 or email

Please note: Orders received after 16 December will not be dispatched until early in the New Year!

CheeseShop will be closed from 24–28 December 2014.

Corporate Gourmet Gift Hampers

How to care for and enjoy your cheese

Hard cheeses tend to dry out in the refrigerator, so they are best kept in a small air tight container. Soft cheeses should also be kept in a Klick Klack or similar airtight container. If possible keep in a cool larder or safe instead of refrigerator.

Remember, always serve cheese at room temperature to experience the best flavour and texture. Remove from the refrigerator several hours before serving.

Fresh cut cheese is best eaten as fresh as possible. Leftover cheese can be used to enhance salads, quiches or vegetable dishes.
